In February 2008, the Northern Ireland Education Inspectorate carried out a successful inspection at Drumragh Integrated College. Their report includes the following strengths:

• Strong, caring and supportive ethos,
• High standards attained by the students, especially at GCSE level, Support of parents and governors, and links with agencies in the local and wider community,
• The dedicated, committed approach of all the staff to the education and well-being of the students,
• The quality of leadership of the Principal, and both his commitment to and vision for the college.

The report also notes that parents praised the caring ethos of the college, the committed, approachable teachers and the effectiveness and professionalism of the Principal.

Students talked about the excellent relationships they enjoy with their teachers and the secure, inclusive atmosphere. They showed that they know what to do if they have any worries about their well-being.

The report states that students are motivated to do well in their work, and that the college’s strong GCSE performance is well above the Northern Ireland average for non-selective schools.
