Excellence for Everyone

At Drumragh Integrated College, we are passionate about learning and committed to creating an engaging, inclusive and forward-thinking environment where every student can succeed. As an all-abilities school, we recognise and celebrate the unique strengths, interests and needs of each learner, enabling every young person to achieve their personal best.

All-Ability Pathways

Our all-ability pathways are designed to ensure that every student is supported, challenged and empowered to succeed, regardless of their starting point.

For students who demonstrate high levels of attainment and academic ambition, our Grammar Pathway provides additional stretch and challenge. Through enriched learning experiences, high expectations and targeted support, students are prepared for success at GCSE and A Level, with a strong focus on progression to university and professional careers.

We equally value and promote practical and vocational pathways, recognising that success takes many forms. Students are supported in accessing a broad and balanced curriculum that includes vocational qualifications and hands-on learning opportunities. These pathways develop key skills such as creativity, problem-solving and independence, preparing students for further education, training or employment in a wide range of fields.

A key strength of Drumragh Integrated College is our inclusive approach to supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Our dedicated Learning Support Department is led by a highly trained and experienced team, including qualified teachers and specialist staff from a range of professional backgrounds. This expertise allows us to provide tailored support to meet a wide variety of individual needs.

Through targeted interventions, in-class support and close collaboration with students, parents and external agencies, we ensure that learners with additional needs are fully included in school life and are given every opportunity to succeed. Our aim is to build confidence, independence and resilience, enabling every student to achieve their personal best.

Across all pathways, differentiated learning remains central to our approach. Teachers adapt their teaching to meet the needs of individual learners, ensuring that all students feel supported, appropriately challenged and confident in their progress.

Learning to Learn

We believe it is not only what students learn that matters, but how they learn. From Year 8, pupils are supported in developing effective learning strategies through targeted programmes that help them understand their own learning styles and build a personalised toolkit of skills.

As students progress through the school, they continue to refine these approaches, preparing them for the demands of examinations, Sixth Form study and beyond.

Tracking & Monitoring Progress

We place a strong emphasis on tracking and monitoring progress to ensure every student is supported to succeed.

  • Regular review of academic progress
  • Ongoing focus on Attitude to Learning
  • Early identification of support or challenge needs
  • Timely intervention to prevent underachievement

These processes allow us to respond quickly and effectively, ensuring students remain on track to achieve their personal best.

Parental Engagement

We value strong partnerships between school and home. Through the SIMS Parent App, parents and carers have access to:

  • Attendance information
  • Achievement and progress updates
  • Key school communications

Alongside regular learning conversations, this ensures that students are supported both in school and at home.

Independence & Aspiration

At Drumragh, we are committed to developing confident, independent learners. Students are encouraged to:

  • Take ownership of their learning
  • Set ambitious goals
  • Work collaboratively
  • Engage fully in academic, sporting and enrichment opportunities

We foster resilience, motivation and a strong sense of responsibility, empowering students to achieve their personal best in all aspects of school life.

High-Quality Teaching

We invest in our staff through continuous professional development, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the college. Through collaboration, reflection and innovation, our teachers remain at the forefront of educational practice, creating a dynamic and supportive environment for every learner.
