Our carefully structured curriculum accommodates all abilities meaning all family members can attend the same integrated college and have their academic requirements met.

The Key Stage Three Curriculum (Year 8-10)

Our KS3 curriculum is intended to be exciting and stimulating. It is designed to inspire a life-long love of learning and it is underpinned by the cross-curricular skills literacy, numeracy and ICT. This includes personalised careers interviews, parental discussion and use of academic progress indicators. Pupils are encouraged to select subjects best suited to their interests, strengths and career aspirations.

The Grammar Pathway at Drumragh Integrated College

We offer a Grammar Pathway to Year Eight. Parents/carers should indicate clearly on the application form if they wish for their child to be considered for a place on the Grammar Pathway. Further information is available on request.

At Drumragh Integrated College, we appreciate and value every student as an individual. Our curricular provision sets suitably high expectations for all and nurtures talent through our academic pathways and extra curricular opportunities. Students following the Grammar Pathway study two languages at Key Stage 3.

Supporting Learning

As an all-ability college we appreciate and value all of our students as individuals. We promote the concept of ‘Personal Best’ and we personalise our curriculum, assessment, rewards and support processes to be able to treat students as such.

We operate a whole college approach to improving achievement. Our ‘Raising Standards Team’ meets following each assessment cycle to agree how we can best support students to improve. This team includes the teacher with responsibility for learning and teaching, Senior Teacher for Pastoral Care, Senior Teacher for Special Educational Needs and Head of Year. They liaise with all Heads of Department/subject heads and link in with Classroom Assistants, external agencies and, of course, parents. Results suggest that this approach to supporting learning is furthering student success and is popular with parents.
